WHO SELLS THIS MIRROR?

Our Poor Little State Senator!

Well I just about laughed my "you know what" off when I found this cartoon. When Jim was traveling alot last year he had enough miles that he ended up in first class and he often found himself seated next to Larry Craig on the plane. After the Senator's little mishap in the restroom we used to ask Jim if he ever saw the Senator tapping his foot and stuff like that. LOL!!! I'm afraid there were alot of jokes at Larry Craigs expense. However, I say if your a public figure and you're going to do STUPID stuff like that, your "Fair Game"!! I wonder if Happy Feet was the Senators favorite movie? LOL

I PASSED!!!

YIPPY!!! THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
I passed my Federal and State exam. So that means I now only have to interview with a broker (I want to interview with John L Scott). And if they sign my little piece of paper saying that I can work in their brokerage firm, then I can take my four exam certificates, my brokers signature paper, my high school diploma (where ever that might be hiding) and my finger prints and I can go get my license!
I have a friend who has been in the business for 20 years who works for John L Scott and she is going to mentor me. So she will show me the ropes and hopefully show me some tricks of the trade!! My friend Angie who works for Group One also invited me to interview with her broker also. She says he is fabulous!! Gee, it's so nice to be wanted!! LOL
I hope I don't have to take too many more tests in the future....I don't think my nerves could take anymore! I am so happy I passed and I am looking forward to starting a new career in the Real Estate Market!!!

One Test Down, Three To Go!!

Hi Everybody, Sorry I haven't posted in a while. As you know, I started Real Estate School last Monday and I took the excellerated course which crammed 90 hours in to 10 days. Up at 6am, (which is not my hour of choice to get up) and out of school at 6pm. Long days thats for sure. Not too much time to do anything else.

My instructor Mike Gamblin is the best! This man should be a motivational speaker. He has made everything we are learning very interesting. I am very thankful I choose his school to get my education from. (By the way Angie B, if you read this, he remembers you from when you took his class).

One thing I have learned......there is an art to studying and retaining information. And I do NOT have that gift!! That's why I THANK GOD I have a great instructor. And if it wasn't for Jim (hubby) trying to drill the math into my head I know I would be floundering.

But..........I am happy to say I passed my first test on Friday and I got a 96! I even got the ONE MATH QUESTION correct! Though I did have to put it on the back burner and come back to it later because it was frustrating me to no end. I was the last one to finish but I didn't care, I wanted to make sure I didn't rush anything. What's the saying? "Last but not least" LOL

So Monday I start Module II. I am excited to find out what we learn next. Oh by the way, my instructor looks JUST LIKE Anthony Perkins. And then one of my classmates looks exactly like Patrick Stewart (John Luc Picard from Star Trek) and another one looks just like the mom from Gilmore Girls. LOL

So I probably will not write anything next week either because I only have so much time to study, but I will let you know if I pass or not next Friday. WISH ME LUCK!!!!

I'M TOO OLD FOR SCHOOL

Can you believe it, I start school tomorrow morning at 8am-6pm for two weeks. I haven't been in a school type situation since hiring on with the airlines back in 1984. I will let you know how I am progressing and hopefully I will be full of wonder and enthusiasum! LOL It should be pretty interesting to learn all the ins and outs of the Real Estate Market.

IM GLAD HE'S NOT MY DENTIST!

Dentist Who Hates It When That Happens: Anne Greer filed a lawsuit in June against Winter Park, Fla., dentist Wesley Meyers over the death of her father last year during procedures to secure his dentures with implants. During the October 2006 visit, Meyers had accidentally dropped a screwdriver down the patient's throat, which required a colonoscopy to remove. The man returned the following year to give Meyers another chance (against his daughter's wishes), and during that procedure, Meyers accidentally dropped a torque wrench down his throat, creating problems that ultimately proved fatal. THESE CARS ARE SO CUTE!

These Smart Cars have got to be the cutest things on earth! I wonder if they will catch on here in the US. They are pretty popular in the European Market. I remember seeing them when Jim and I were in London about four or five years ago. To me it looked like a double lounge chair on wheels. LOL
