THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO!

A HEART-HEALTHY PRAYER FOR THE HOLIDAY: BY UNKNOWN
Lord, grant me the strength that I may not fall
Into the clutches of cholesterol.
At saturated fat, I'll never mutter,
For the road to hell is paved with butter.
And cake is cursed and cream is awful.
And Satan is hiding in every waffle.
Beelzebub is a chocolate drop,
and Lucifer is a lollipop.
Teach me the evils of hollandaise,
of pasta and gobs of mayonnaise.
And crips fried chicken from the South,
Lord, if you love, SHUT MY MOUTH!

WHAT A PRETTY MERMAID!

My niece Abby loves to act. Right now she is in a production of "The Little Mermaid" and was cast as Arials sister. This is a picture of Abby during one of her performances. Is'nt she beautiful! I want to say she takes after me, but she definitely takes after her mom and dad in the looks department. My mom and dad (Gma and Gpa) flew down to see her in the play. They just flew back in today and they both said Abby was wonderful. I cant wait for the family to come up for Christmas because they will be bringing a tape of the play, that way we all will get a chance to see Abby perform.

Tamarack

This is me and one of my best friends in the whole world, Ann Singer. I have known Ann since the 7th grade. I used to take piano lessons with a minister's wife that lived down the street and Ann had her lessons right after mine. Well, lets say we didnt really like each other at first and she used to come early to make me nervous!! LOL
However, we ended up becoming the best of friends and even to this day I know she will always be there for me.

Ann, me and her daughter Missy went up to McCall and this is a picture of when we went up to Tamarack to take a look see. It was soooo pretty!

SEPHORA MAKEOVERS

Wednesday, Misty, Leonora and I went to Sephora to look at all the great make up they offer. Misty and I decided to get makeovers and boy did we have a great time. Colleen the make up artist was very nice and she did a wonderful job. She even told us all about how she started her rostafarian hair and how she maintains it. It was very very interesting!

Sophora doesnt charge for the make overs and they even gave us a little baggy of samples to take home. I LOVE THAT STORE!!

MY MOM AND I WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT THIS

This is so wierd. My mom and I were just talking about this picture. How nobody ever really knew for sure who the two people were. I love this picture though. What a wonderful way to say "War is Over"!!

NEW YORK (AP) -- A 90-year-old who says she's the woman being kissed by a sailor in Times Square in one of World War II's most famous photographs reunited in town with the Navy on Sunday -- days before she is to serve as grand marshal of the city's Veterans Day parade.
Edith Shain of Los Angeles, donning a white nurse's uniform like the one she wore back in 1945, went to see the musical revival of "South Pacific" and posed for pictures, being hoisted off her feet on stage by five of the actors in their Navy whites.
On Tuesday, she'll ride in the parade at the head of a contingent of World War II veterans.
The "South Pacific" event was a touching reminder of history, but very different from August 15, 1945, the day Shain recalls that she joined thousands of people whooping it up after Japan surrendered. Right there on Broadway and 45th Street, a sailor suddenly grabbed and kissed her -- and the moment was caught by Alfred Eisenstaedt, a Life magazine photographer.
His picture from V-J Day became one of the 20th century's most iconic images. But Eisenstaedt didn't get the names of either party, and efforts years later by Life to identify them produced a number of claimants, says Bobbi Baker Burrows, a Life editor with deep knowledge of the subject.
About 1980, Shain recalls, she wrote a letter to Life, identifying herself as the woman in the nurse's uniform. Eisenstaedt wrote back and later visited her in California and gave her a copy of the photo. But Eisenstaedt, who died in 1995, was never sure that Shain was the woman in the photo, Burrows said.
Because of renewed interest in the subject, she recalled, "Life decided to run an article saying, `If you are the sailor or the nurse in the picture, please step forward."'
"We received claims from a few nurses and dozens of sailors, but we could never prove that any of them were the actual people, and Eisenstaedt himself just said he didn't know," she said.
Even the fact that Shain stands only 4 feet 9 isn't helpful in analyzing the photo, in which the sailor has her in what looks more like a death grip than an embrace, with both of their faces obscured.
By her own account, Shain said she could not identify the bussing boy in blue.
"I went from Doctors Hospital to Times Square that day because the war was over, and where else does a New Yorker go?" she said. "And this guy grabbed me and we kissed, and then I turned one way and he turned the other. There was no way to know who he was, but I didn't mind because he was someone who had fought for me." Watch a WWII veteran's memories »
At least three veterans still lay claim to being the kissing sailor, and at least one other woman has claimed to be the nurse. But Shain, who left nursing to become a kindergarten teacher in Los Angeles for 30 years, appears to hold the edge -- by virtue of persistence, an effervescent charm and unabashed patriotism.
"As for the picture," she says, "it says so many things -- hope, love, peace and tomorrow. The end of the war was a wonderful experience, and that photo represents all those feelings."

GO BSU GO

GO BRONCOS GO!!!! WIN WIN WIN

I'm Famous

Well most of you know that I do enjoy a good South Park episode once in a while. As luck would have it, I was asked to host an episode where all the boys: Cartman, Kenny, Stan and Kyle all fall in love with my character. It should air sometime in 2009.

I was able to sneak out the publicity photo so you could take a sneak peak before it airs. I must say I had a really good time doing the show and I will let you know well in advance what day it will be showing. That way you can mark it on your calenders. LOL

SOUTH PARK OBAMA EPISODE

Last nights South Park episode was so funny. I have a link to a clip of the episode below:

From The Huffington Post:

It didn't take long for the notoriously-fast-working folks at South Park to lampoon President-Elect Obama. Last night's episode featured the president-elect, Michelle Obama, John McCain and Sarah Palin. The episode, "About Last Night," revolves around an Ocean's 11-style plot to steal the Hope diamond.

TRAFFIC JAM IN DONNELLY IDAHO 2008

Ann, Missy and I were on our way up to Tamarack Lodge in Donnelly Idaho when we ran into a little traffic jam. The shepherds were bringing the flock down from the higher elevations to the lower pasture. We were kind of stuck amongst all these sheep and pack horses/mules and dogs for about 45 minutes. It was a pretty awesome sight.

ANOTHER TV SHOW BITES THE DUST!

KING OF THE HILL IS BEING CANCELLED!!

Yahoo News: Los Angeles-

Final episodes of the half-hour series, now in its 13th year, likely will air during the 2009-10 season, Fox said Friday. The network recently ordered 13 new episodes, and animated series have a long production schedule.
Jim and I have enjoyed this show for quite awhile. From Bobby's "That boy just ain't right" shinanigans to Peggy's sooo bad Spanish and her Spapeggy to Hank and the guys "Yup" in the alley way. Will we ever know how Luann's and Lucky's little baby turns out? Will Bill ever get remarried, and speaking of that what ever happened to Kahn's Mama that Bill was dating? Will Bobby and Kahn Jr. ever get hitched. Will Dale ever realize that Joseph is John Redcorn's biological son? And will Boomhower EVER learn how to speak comprehensible ENGLISH!! LOL
It is a funny cartoon and it is family friendly. Jim and I enjoy most of the "Adult" cartoons: The Simpsons (of course), Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, Futurama, Spongebob Squarepants but I must admit most of them leave alittle bit to be desired in the "Everybody in the family can watch it" catagory.
KING OF THE HILL.....YOU WILL BE MISSED!
