Mom's New Puppy
Mom has a new baby in the house. An eight week Boston Terrier or sometimes they are called a Boston Bull Terrier. He is just adorable. However he still does not have a name.

BROTHER BRIAN IS THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER
Jim and I NEVER seem to take good pictures. My brother is not a professional photographer but he takes better photos then any of the professionals around town!
He took a couple for us last night (I was'nt aware we were going to take pictures so I was not dressed and my hair was weird)!! And of course Jim ALWAYS needs a haircut. LOL
I want to put the pictures in a slide show but I still am clueless on how to do that. I have to get Jeremiah to show me how. But I will post a couple on my side bar.

MY BABY BRO, SISTER-IN-LAW AND KIDS IN TOWN
My youngest brother Brian and his lovely wife Amy and cutest kids alive Abby, Caleb and Elly are in town from Glendale Arizona for a visit. It's always exciting having them come to town because they stay with us and we love having a housefull of people.
Our big dog Bohdan is now a bit calmer so we don't think he's going to take off with one of the kids or devour them for a snack. Which in the words of Martha Stewart: "Thats a good thing"!
The youngest Elly is 4 years old today. So we are going to a Princess Party at Grandma's house this afternoon. There will be a water slide, B-Day Cake of course and a whole lot of little kids!
It is also going to be a hot one today so I'm thinking "Do I take my swimsuit and go down this inflateable water slide" which I would be mortified if I popped the darn thing! Or do I just "Sweat it out under the trees and have a nice cold beer to cool me off". Hummmm, I think I'm leaning towards the beer. LOL

I AM CLUELESS ON HOW THIS STUFF WORKS
Ok, I tried to set up a slideshow via photobucket and now my dad's face is plastered on my blog and it still didn't even come across as a slideshow. I don't mind dad's face on the blog page, its just that the picture is WAY to big.
I will have to check with my guru tomorrow to see what I did wrong.

NORTHWEST MOTOR FEST
Jim and I went to the NorthWest Motor Fest Car Show yesterday.
My mom and dad entered a couple of cars this year. A 1973 (I'm not positive on the year) Buick GT Convertible and a 1957 T-Bird Convertible (the same type you saw in American Graffetti). There were all sorts of activities going on at this shindig. They had the rock climbing for the 4-Wheelers (we got to see a jeep roll when it tried to go over a rock that was too big), and the Lawn Mower races, the Burn Out Contest (which you could hear all over the fair grounds), lots of food booths and vendors selling all sorts of car related stuff and one of the favorites, the Drag Racing.
My 71 year old dad loves to drag race. I had never been drag racing (on an actual track that is) and so when he entered his Buick I went with him. Boy, that car has a lot of get up and go. When the light turned green, the tires started squealing, the smoke started pouring out the back and then BAM...my head jerked back and we took off like a bat out of hell! Man was that fun!! You will be happy to know that we won our heat and even got to rib our opponent a little bit.
The NWMF had all sorts of cars there, from the old Henry Ford Model T's, to Nash's, Roadsters, VW's (wagons and bugs), Cameros, Mustangs, Old Chevy's, Woody's, and a whole lot more. But my favorite were the Corvettes! Such a beautiful car. However, I did see a 2008 Viper (all black) that I will buy someday when I'm rich and famous.
That night, the Fest had a Parade (or Cruise) in downtown Boise. All the cars go downtown and all the streets are lined with spectators and there is a DJ playing 50's music and everybody is just having a good time showing off their cars and revving their engines and interacting with all the people. Mom and dad took Jim and I with them so we got to sit in the Buick's back seat and participate in the parade. That convertible is alot of fun because it was easy to talk to the people on the street and also the other cars going by.
It was a great way to end the 4th of July Weekend!

What The Hell Happened To Me?
Have you ever had a panic or anxiety attack? Well, I have NEVER had one until now.
I have never been afraid to go to the dentist (due to a wonderful childhood dentist). However, I went in to the dentist yesterday to get some of my silver fillings replaced with safer composite ones.
After receiving the shots to numb my mouth (which has never ever bothered me before) I felt this sharp pain on my tongue like a lightening bolt running across it. I then started to hyperventilate and my eyes started tearing up. I then HAD to sit up and I started just to bawl. I was so embarrassed because I didn't know why I was doing this. Robin (my Hygienist who administered the shots) gave me some Nitrus Oxide to calm me down. Which it did (finally).
After about 10 minutes of the Nitrus Oxide, the dentist came in and started looking in my mouth and talking very soothingly to me and getting ready to do his filling conversion, I started to hyperventilate and bawl again. Eee gads....I couldn't believe it. Robin hooked me up to the Nitrus again, and about 10 minutes later, I calmed down one more time and the Dr was able to finish the fillings.
Again, I am so weirded out about what happened. I have NEVER ever done or felt like that before. I hope I'm not going off my rocker.

Ok, so Jim and I had the best vacation last week!
Jim and I were invited to spend a long weekend at a cabin (on a lake) in Wisconsin. Jim's friend Shawn and his lovely wife Annie own this gorgeous cabin (they built 3/4 of it themselves) somewhere about 2 hours drive outside of Madison. Our friends Jeremiah and his lovely wife Tancy also joined us and rounded out the group.
We played on the water with wave runners (my first time) and soaked up the sun while floating on our plastic rafts (the good kind with the drink holders) in the warm, beautiful, sandy lake. I also went fishing for the first time in my life. Thats actually hard to believe since I grew up in Idaho....but it's true.
I caught lots of catfish (we threw those back) and I caught a big mouth bass and I almost caught a HUGE Northern something (I forgot the name) but it was so big my little hook finally came dislodged. But he was fighting and was leaping out of the water and it was so exciting. He broke my line and he also ended up breaking Jim's line because he got tangled up. When Jim reached down from the dock to retrieve his bobber thingy, a big ol 22.5" Walleye was on it. It was such a shock to see that fish on Jim's line that we all started laughing and Jim and I finally pulled it out of the water and it flew onto the dock. We wouldn't touch it though because if you haven't ever seen a Walleye, they have BIG teeth! So Shawn was our cabana boy and took care of the fishy for us.
Most everybody the rest of the weekend caught tons of catfish, Jeremiah got a really good sized Bass, and Tancy caught a Walleye also. So needless to say, we had an excellent fish fry on Sunday.
Shawn and Annie also have a Pontoon Boat. Again, soooo much fun. It also had a little bar-b-q on board, so tooling around the lake, cooking hotdogs, fishing and looking at all the beautiful cabins along the shoreline was just heaven.
We also visited with their horses, talked around a huge bonfire, shot guns and clay pigeons, got drenched in a down pour, did a little archery (Jim was wounded in the forearm) but I guess that is what happens when you have big forarms. Tancy brought her XBOX Rock Band and we played in the evening. Singing, drums, guitar and bass. Both Jeremiah and Tancy were awsome on the drums. Jim enjoyed playing the guitar. I sang a little but Tancy and Jeremiah are about 12-15 years younger then I am so I didnt know any of the songs they had on their Rock Band list. So of course my score wasnt that great. I bet their ears hurt too when I was finished. LOL
Annie cooked for us all weekend and talk about gourmet food! We had everything from bratwurst and fries (actually Shawn made those), rotisserie port roast, baby back bar-b-q ribs, a german type potato salad, a chinese cabbage type coleslaw, corn bread, baked potatos, fish fry and a full breakfast every morning. Jeremiah did a really good breakfast one morning-I was very impressed. Tancy made and brought chocolate brownies and boy they were good.
And what did I do you may ask? Well, somebody had to clean the kitchen. I didnt clean it all the time, but I did help. :)
I think what made the weekend so fun was the company we had. Both Shawn and Annie and Jeremiah and Tancy are the nicest couples. I wish we lived closer to them so we could visit more, but I don't think I could take the extreme temperatures they have in that part of the country.
Anyways, the weekend was a success and Jim and I have decided if we can afford to buy a cabin, we are going to do it asap.
I will keep you posted.

Today is the Day I Start My Blog!
Well, as you can see, I am a "Simpson's" fan. My car even has "DOH" on the license plates. I am new to this blogging stuff, but a new friend of mine has been blogging for a couple years now and she just loves it. So I thought I would give it a try.
Today: Nothing happening except a little work. I work at home doing some accounting for a company called Wire Speed Telecomunnications which is a VOIP Phone Company http://www.wstelco.com/
Weather is hot today. About 90 or so. This weekend it is suppose to be up in the 100's. I'm a menopausal woman who's hormones are not quite right and I HATE the heat. So I will probably be a little cranky this weekend if I'm not in the air conditioning. So look out people! LOL
